Jonas and Shayna Ambrose are rooted in tarnished pasts, causing them to be emotionally detached in their marriage. Shayna endures the frustration of being married to a man who doesn't share her faith in God and whose main focus is his career. Jonas believes his love for Shayna is shown by being a good provider.Frustrated that his wife doesn't support his endeavors, he finds consolation away from home. Finger-pointing at one another's faults, Jonas and Shayna are oblivious to the outside influences that plague their marriage.
In the midst, the battered foundation of their four year marriage starts to crumble when an unexpected pregnancy occurs. Fortunately, the mother-to-be is not one of Jonas's mistresses, but his wife. The problem: Jonas is adamant about Shayna not having the baby. At odds about the pregnancy they separate, until tragic events reunite them.
But something is still missing in the relationship. When truths are exposed, will the Ambrose union be able to overcome issues deeper than what's on the surface? Read More...

Where has the church gone? The church was where a person could go for help and the churches' willingness to help was and is not based upon if the person is a member or if they have or is giving money to that church? Where has the church gone? The church that would reach out to the sinner to show the love of God and not judge them based upon what they see. Where has the church gone? The church where it was more important to pursue the things of God rather than how many states or countries they can be seen in on television. The church now appears to be about how they look on the outside and not about the lives they are changing or saving on the inside. Now the pastors have private jets, multi-million dollar homes, drive luxury cars and claim to have millions in their bank accounts; yet their members are losing houses, cars, families and hope. All of this is supposedly being done in the name of God. I am disgusted with Christianity! This book will discuss how some of these churches are taking the scriptures and twisting them for their own purposes. It will discuss why the members are stressed about giving a tithe, but the pastor and their families' money never leave the building. It is time for the Body of Christ to get back to the mission of pursuing the Kingdom of God and His righteousness!

Kitchen windows…For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. I Corinthians: 13:3 KJV
I’d love to line up all the kitchen window views I’ve ever had. I started my journey looking out onto a college apartment balcony with a view of a dreary cement wall and a wooden railing with peeling paint. After getting married and moving to the Sierra Nevada Mountains, I fixed coffee while watching chipmunks scamper up and down the twenty-foot tall boulders in the backyard. When we moved to the Midwest, I could view my children playing on a swing set surrounded by a lush green lawn. Chicago brought a postage stamp yard and a side porch I viewed from a window adjacent to the kitchen. Now in North Carolina, we’ve put out a bird feeder and I enjoy scarlet cardinals and flamboyant yellow goldfinches fighting over their breakfast...

Did God Choose The Right Mother For You?
Few things in life have the potential to permanently shape us. Our mothers take the top spot on that shortlist. The example she set is either a standard you will forever seek to live up to, or a pattern you vow to never repeat. Continue reading

Sweet Friendship
“There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” (Proverbs 18:24b) Does anyone come to mind when you read that verse? Do you have one girlfriend that is just so close to your heart that she’s practically family? Perhaps this friend actually is your family –like your sister or your mother. Or perhaps you’ve just been through so much together and she knows you so well that she is family to you. If you’re married you may say that your husband is your best friend. (It is a healthy marriage that involves a healthy dose of solid friendship!) Continue reading
